The numbers behind the replay.
How Octofelt reads the table, what it records and what the replay keeps. Figures marked Bench-tested were measured on our prototype test bench in October 2026. The rest are design targets for hardware in development and may change.
Card reading
- Technology
- NFC at 13.56 MHz (ISO/IEC 15693), with a tag inside every Octofelt card
- Readers
- One under every seat, plus the board: five spots on the Mat, two board tiles with three spots each on Mat Go
- Read time
- Two cards in about 45 ms, three in about 95 ms Bench-tested
- Stacked cards
- Two cards lying exactly on top of each other both read Bench-tested
- Reads through
- 12 mm (0.47 in) of plastic Bench-tested
- Peeking
- A quick lift to look at your cards is not counted as a fold

The action
